Week 10 of the NFL kicks off on Thursday, November 12, with the Indianapolis Colts against the Tennessee Titans. Looking at the Colts vs. Titans betting odds, the point spread has swung to favor the Colts, but not by much. In this article, we’ll break down the matchup from an NFL betting perspective and provide a few free picks for the game, Colts vs. Titans including player props.

The AFC South kicks off Week 10 of the NFL season, as Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts head south to take on a divisional rival in the Tennessee Titans. The Colts offense is looking to get back on track after only scoring 10 points at home against the Baltimore Ravens last week, while the 6-2 Titans are hoping to open up what could end up being an insurmountable two-game cushion in this poor division.

Checking in on the SharpSide NFL Power Rankings, these two teams are sitting right next to each other, with the Titans ranked 10th and the Colts ranked 11th through Week 9.

Colts Defense Remains Elite

Rivers and the Colts offense have been a bit of a disappointment, but they have been carried so far by the team’s elite defense. The Colts rank near the top in virtually every statistical category on the defensive side. They rank first in yards allowed per game at an even 290 and third against the rush, pass, and in points per game.

Darius Leonard and his crew will need their A-game against one of the most imposing rushing attacks in all of football. That matchup is one we will be keeping a close eye on.

Henry Continues To Cook

Derrick Henry has been the workhorse back for the Titans for a few years now, and this season has been no different.

Henry and Dalvin Cook are running all over the NFL this year. Cook leads the league with 858 yards, and Henry is right on his heels at 843 yards. The next closest rusher, Josh Jacobs, has just 588. As already mentioned, the Titans are fantastic against the run and the pass, so it will be interesting to see how the Titans try to move the ball in this one. Henry is the obvious choice, but the Colts will likely stack the box to slow down that train, so it might fall on QB Ryan Tannehill to get the ball moving.

Point Spread Pick: Titans (+1)

This rivalry has traditionally gone back and forth, including last season, when the teams split their two contests. While the Colts have the better defense, it looks like the Titans have the much better offense. While they say “defense wins championships,” it’s offense that has been king so far in the high-scoring 2020 NFL season. Look for that trend to continue tonight, as the Titans should be able to score enough to get the victory here over a struggling Colts offense that, to be fair, will be getting one of their top weapons in T.Y. Hilton back tonight. The question is, will that make any difference?

T.Y. Hilton Player Prop: Under 3.5 catches

The signing of Rivers raised more than a few questions this offseason, but the main one arguably was how he would gel with Hilton. Hilton is known as a speedster deep threat, something that isn’t of much use to Rivers and his near 39-year-old arm. Hilton has logged 3 or fewer catches in five of his last six games and we expect that trend to continue tonight. Take the under on this Hilton player prop.

Jonnu Smith Player Prop: Over 28.5 receiving yards

Fantasy football managers who don’t have Travis Kelce have likely been fuming over the lack of production in their tight end slot, which has mostly been a barren wasteland across the board this year. One of the emerging stars has been Jonnu Smith, who has quickly emerged as a favorite target of Tannehill. Smith has cleared this total in six of the first eight games this season and that trend should continue tonight, especially if the Titans end up falling behind and have to throw it more.
