After weeks of bad matchups on Thursday Night Football and Monday Night Football, fans finally have a potential classic to look forward to. To start Week 11, two of the most exciting offenses in the league get to face off on Thursday Night Football when Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals take on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. Looking at the Cardinals vs. Seahawks betting odds, the Seahawks are 3-point home favorites on the point spread. In this article, we’ll break down the matchup from an NFL betting perspective and provide a few free picks for the game, Cardinals vs. Seahawks including player props.

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks (-3)

Century Link Field
Seattle, WA

These two teams met at the end of October, with Arizona pulling out a thrilling 37-34 overtime victory to hand Seattle its first loss of the season. Seattle has since lost two more games and comes into this potential NFC West deciding game on a downturn, while Arizona is still flying high from the miracle DeAndre Hopkins touchdown last week to beat the Buffalo Bills. There are a lot of moving parts with this matchup, so let’s dive deeper.

Kyler Murray Sneaky MVP?

This matchup features two of the hottest players in the discussion for the NFL MVP title. In the first month of the season, the trophy was Wilson’s to lose, after getting his team off to a 5-0 start with some miraculous plays at times. However, that mantle seems to have shifted over to Murray, who simply looks unstoppable recently.

The shifty QB has 17 touchdowns through the air, but more impressively, Murray has 10 rushing touchdowns in just nine games. He is on pace to shatter Cam Newton’s record of 14 rushing touchdowns in a season by a quarterback. Given how awful the Seattle defense has looked recently, there’s no reason to think he won’t be adding to that total in Week 11.

Too Many Mistakes for Seattle

Seattle’s defense has been brutal all season long, but that was easy to brush aside in the early parts of the season when Wilson and company were cooking on all cylinders. However, Wilson has been downright bad the last two weeks, and the Seattle offense is turning the ball over quite a bit.

Against the Bills, Wilson had 4 turnovers in a 44-34 blowout that wasn’t even as close as the score would indicate. Then last week, the turnover ratio was 3-1 against the Los Angeles Rams, with Wilson once again tossing 2 interceptions. There is little margin for error for Wilson with his defense unable to stop a nosebleed at times, so Wilson will have to be much better if Seattle wants to avoid its fourth loss in five contests.

Point Spread Pick: Cardinals (+3)

On the Cardinals vs. Seahawks point spread, we are going to take the points with what is probably the better team right now, and that’s the Cardinals. Seattle’s defense is the worst of the four major units on display tonight, and right now, the Cardinals offense is the best, so that combo is too much to ignore in what should be a high-scoring affair.

These two teams put up a combined 71 points a few weeks ago. While they may not break the 70-point mark again tonight, over 56.5 should very much be in play. Murray seems to be on a special run right now, and don’t expect the Seahawks defense, which can’t stop anyone right now, to be able to slow down this offense. Go with the Cardinals (+3).

Kyler Murray Player Prop: Anytime TD (-171)

Along those lines, this bet has been all but a lock this season, as Murray has failed to score a rushing touchdown in just one game. Murray has also logged double-digit carries in four straight games and had 9 carries the game before that. It seems clear that Kliff Kingsbury realizes that his quarterback’s mobility is the key to success in this offense, and he is letting the reins off of his young Heisman-winning QB. Some books have already juiced this prop up to over -200, so the -171 is a solid price for what should be a slam dunk.

Chase Edmonds Player Prop: Over 2.5 catches

Chase Edmonds has earned basically a 50/50 split of the workload with Kenyan Drake, and it is likely that he will get more run than usual in a game that should be a back-and-forth shootout. Edmonds has cleared this marker in five of his last six contests, including three weeks ago when he hauled in all 7 receptions against this very same Seattle team. Look for both running backs to be heavily involved in the passing game tonight, so take the over on this low catch total for Edmonds.
