Three more competitors qualified for the first-ever DraftKings Sports Betting National Championship, bringing the total number of qualifiers up to 34. The qualifiers come from daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests on DraftKings, and each has earned a $12,000 package to compete in the event taking place January 11-13, 2019, in Jersey City, NJ.
The latest three to qualify were DraftKings players “kappakilla,” “travisfurniture,” and “wakeywakey.”
The DraftKings Sports Betting National Championship boasts a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool and a $1 million guaranteed first-place prize.

DFS qualifiers will be running now through January 8, 2019, with qualifiers available for as low as 10 cents. Winning qualifiers receive a VIP experience package valued at $12,000. The package includes event entry, hotel accommodations, $1,000 for travel and expenses, and a $5,000 sportsbook bankroll to be used in the DraftKings Sports Betting National Championship.
The DraftKings Sports Betting National Championship is set to take place January 11-13, 2019, in New Jersey. Over those three days, competitors receive a $5,000 bankroll to bet with across a bevy of eligible wagers.
Two basic requirements must be met. First, as the event kicks off on a Friday, entrants must wager a total of $1,000 by the close of betting on Saturday. Second, entrants must bet of total of $2,000 across NFL games on Sunday. Both betting requirements must be met in order to be eligible to win leaderboard prizes.
Betting on Friday and Saturday can be on any sport you want, according to DraftKings. On Sunday, the action is limited to only the two NFL Divisional Playoff games. Each competitor is allowed only one entry.
Based on a field of 531 entries of fewer, the winner will receive a $1 million top prize, followed by $350,000 for second place and $250,000 for third place.

Players that fail to meet both requirements will simply keep their bankroll at the end of the tournament.
