Welcome to SharpSide’s NFL betting picks article for Week 10. In this article, we’ll break down a few of the week’s matchups, taking a look at the betting odds and point spreads before laying out some predictions and picks.

In Week 9, we had a pretty good week. The Seattle Seahawks blew what would have been a 5-0 week, but we still ended up 3-2 and up 1.78 units.

NFL Week 10 Betting Picks

We’ll be targeting one game from the early slate, one game from the afternoon slate, and then Sunday Night Football. This week, we’ll be looking at picks for the Eagles vs. Giants, Chargers vs. Dolphins, and Ravens vs. Patriots games.

Philadelphia Eagles (-3) at New York Giants

The first game of Week 10 that we’ll be targeting is an NFC East clash and the second time these two teams will meet this season. It’s the Philadelphia Eagles against the New York Giants. Looking at the Eagles vs. Giants betting odds at the time of writing, the Eagles are 3-point road favorites on the point spread.

I get that the Eagles are staring to get healthy and that quarterback Carson Wentz will have some offensive weapons around him, but this game just screams for the Giants to cover the spread. The Giants are a team that everyone thinks of as terrible and their record kind of tells the same story, but if we look at New York’s last six games, they are definitely a much better team than the record shows.

Over the last six games, the Giants have two wins over the Washington Football Team, a 3-point loss to the Dallas Cowboys, a 1-point loss to the Eagles, a 2-point loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and an 8-point loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Against the Cowboys, Eagles, and Buccaneers, the Giants were ahead most of the game.

The Giants had a lead for the vast majority of the last five games they’ve played and haven’t had a loss of more than 3 points since the one to the Rams six weeks ago. The Giants are a drastically underrated team that is a 3-point home dog in Week 10 and you should hammer their side of the ball.

SharpSide’s Pick: Giants (+3) (-105)

Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins (-1.5)

On the afternoon slate, the game we’ll be targeting is the Los Angeles Chargers traveling to Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins. Looking at the Chargers vs. Dolphins betting odds, Miami is a short home favorite on the point spread.

If there’s one thing that we have learned over the last few years, it’s that the Chargers will lose in devastating fashion pretty much every single game. It makes no rational sense other than they are cursed, but that’s not the only reason I’m betting against them. The Dolphins have had a surprisingly good defense so far this season and have been fantastic against the pass. Miami is currently rank 8th in DVOA against the pass and 29th against the run, per FootballOutsiders.com, and there’s a decent chance that the Chargers will be without Justin Jackson this week.

While Justin Herbert has been great all season long and Tua Tagovailoa is still a bit of an unknown, the Dolphins are clearly the better team right now and they are only giving up 1.5 points against a team that has to fly across the country and has lost several games in a row in destructive fashion. With this bet, I’m getting a team that is better on both sides of the ball and is playing at home. This one seems like a no-brainer.

SharpSide’s Pick: Dolphins (-1.5)

Baltimore Ravens (-7) at New England Patriots

Finally, let’s take a look at Sunday Night Football, when the Baltimore Ravens take on the New England Patriots. Taking a look at the Ravens vs. Patriots betting odds, the Ravens are a touchdown favorite on the road.

This game feels a little bit like a trap game to me, but I really just don’t understand the line here. Yes, this is New England and Bill Belichick is the greatest coach of all time, but this Patriots team looks horrible right now and the Ravens have been a lot better than their record has shown. The Ravens’ two losses this season have come against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs, who are possibly the two best teams in the league. Outside of that, the Ravens have beat every single team outside of the Eagles by 14 or more points.

The Patriots currently rank second to last in terms of DVOA defense. On the offensive end, they are an absolute mess. They have only been able to run the ball pretty much all season long because Cam Newton has been terrible and has no offensive weapons. This might be a fish move by me or this might be a trap game, but I think the Ravens blow them out. I’m doing something that I don’t often do and taking the Ravens (-13.5) on an alternate point spread.

SharpSide’s Pick: Ravens (-13.5) (+210 at DraftKings)
