How To Bet Zion Williamson Player Props Against Bulls On Thursday

Zion Williamson is one of the most exciting players to hit the NBA court in quite some time. Naturally, he’s also a player drawing a lot of attention from the betting world, especially when it comes to player props. How should you be betting Zion Williams player props? Let’s explore.

Since his NBA debut on Wednesday, January 22, Zion Williamson has played in seven games. Through those, he’s averaging 19.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. Although he went 4-for-4 shooting threes in his first regular season NBA game, Williamson hasn’t shot a ton of threes since. In those seven games, he’s recorded two double-doubles and no triple-doubles.

As the minutes have increased, so has the output for Williamson. He was on a minutes restriction for the first couple of games, but that is gone now. Over his last four games, Williamson has averaged 31 minutes per game.

Williamson’s next game is against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, February 6. On Thursday morning, FanDuel Sportsbook had the line for Williamson’s points set at over/under 21.5. His rebounds were at over/under 8.5 and his assists were at over/under 2.5.

Williamson Over/Under 21.5 Points

Williamson has come in on the over on his points player prop in five of seven games, and when the over/under has been higher than 20, he’s gone over once and under once. Both of those times, the lines was at over/under 20.5 points. The line of 21.5 points is high and in only three games of the seven has Williamson gone over 21.5 points.

The Williamson player prop on points feels like one we should stay away from on Thursday. If we were forced to bet it, we’d be on the side of the under 21.5 points. Although the matchup against the Chicago Bulls is a very good one for Williamson, we could very well see this as a spot in which the New Orleans Pelicans are up big and opt to get some good rest for Williamson.

Williamson has been on the floor for more than 30 minutes in each of his last two games. On Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, Williamson played 32 minutes, took 19 shots, and attempted 14 free throws. Thursday’s game against the Bulls should also be fast paced. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to get the kid some rest against Chicago.

Williamson Over/Under 8.5 Rebounds

Williamson is averaging an even 8 rebounds in the seven games he’s played this season. Having a rebounds line of 8.5 for Thursday seems a tad high, so it’s a spot we’d be taking the under once again if we were forced to wager. Like his points player prop, this one also feels like a stay-away bet.

The issue with our confidence level on the Zion Williamson props is that the sportsbooks know that people want to bet the over. The hype around Williamson was through the roof and he’s been performing well. The lines on Williamson’s props are probably a tick or two higher than where they should be, so taking the under would be the move we’d vote for. The problem with taking the under is that Williamson is an explosive player, so it’s the scarier side to be on. That said, if it feels too good to be true, it probably is, and bettors are likely looking at these lines and thinking Williamson will go off big against a struggling Bulls team.

Again, the matchup doesn’t help us feel any better if we’re betting the under on Williamson props, but the under does feel like the right side, whether it’s points or rebounds.
