Best NBA Betting Picks and Player Props for Tuesday, February 25
The NBA is giving us seven games on Tuesday, February 25, which means we have plenty of options to pick our bets from. The things is, there’s not a whole lot of stuff that we like. As we’ve said before, it’s important not to force things in sports betting. That said, there are still two plays we find valuable. One is a pick on the point spread and the other is a player prop for one of the league’s most popular players.

Boston Celtics (-7.5)
First up if the point spread pick, and we’re looking at the Boston Celtics as the team we’ll be backing.
This bet is strictly based on how bad the Portland Trail Blazers are. I don’t understand why the Celtics are not 10-point favorites. Maybe it’s because Boston is on the road, but I just think this Portland team is an absolute disaster right now. Look at what happened the other night. CJ McCollum put up 41 points, 12 assists, and 9 rebounds and the Trail Blazers barely beat the worst team in offensive rating since the Andre Drummond trade.
The Celtics have some great defenders and I’m sure Marcus Smart will be all over McCollum on Tuesday. Jayson Tatum has also emerged on the scene with some massive games, and the more usage for Tatum the better, as he is currently the focal point of this Boston offense.
The Celtics are also the second best team against the spread, winning 63% of their games. Portland, on the other hand, is the third worst team at covering against the spread at 41%. I don’t think the line has adjusted correctly for Damian Lillard being out. This Portland team is terrible without him and I don’t think McCollum can carry the Trail Blazers against good teams like the Celtics.
Zion Williamson, SF, New Orleans Pelicans
– Under 7.5 Rebounds (-124)
My favorite prop bet of the night is a Zion Williamson player prop.
I love the under on 7.5 rebounds for Williamson, who goes against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. The Lakers are one of the best rebounding teams in the league and have a ton of length to cause problems for Williamson. The New Orleans Pelicans are playing better basketball, but you better believe that the Lakers are not just going to let Williamson do whatever he wants in this game.
If you look at the RotoGrinders Defense vs. Matchup Tool, Zion will see a decrease in rebounds at about 12%. This compares to the average matchup and this specific one against the Lakers is clearly not a great spot. I think we jump on the under here at 7.5 rebounds and the Pelicans struggle in LA.
