To close things out, Baker and Gregorich selected the Dallas Cowboys (-1.5), Pittsburgh Steelers (+9), Carolina Panthers (+6.5), Baltimore Ravens (-12.5), and Washington Football Team (-2.5). The Steelers, Ravens, and Football Team covered, the Cowboys and Panthers didn’t cover, and Baker and Gregorich went 3-2 on the week. Baker and Gregorich entered the final week of a half-point lead and the 3-2 result was enough to keep them in first place.
The race for first place was really between just Baker and Gregorich and ‘Yugo77,’ who entered Week 17 in second place, just a half of a point behind Baker and Gregorich. There was then a 3-point gap before the next group of competitors.
‘Yugo77’ went 2-3 on the week with the Green Bay Packers (-5.5), Carolina Panthers (+6.5), New York Jets (+3), Detroit Lions (+6.5), and Arizona Cardinals (-2.5) on his card. He started 1-1 with the Jets and Lions among the early games on Sunday and was sharing his Panthers pick with Baker and Gregorich.
With the Packers covering the point spread, it came down to Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and the Cardinals, but the Cardinals lost outright to the John Wolford-led Los Angeles Rams by a score of 18-7 despite being 2.5-point favorites in the SuperContest. The Rams cover clinched the $435,623 score for Baker and Gregorich.
Finishing in second place earned ‘Yugo77’ a $117,736 score.
