The Circa Sports Survivor contest entered Week 5 with 640 contestants remaining. More than one-third of the field was eliminated in Week 5, with 230 teams losing out. That left 410 contestants remaining in contention for the $1,390,000 first-place prize.

The most popular Circa Survivor pick in Week 5 was the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers hosted the Miami Dolphins but got their doors blown off despite being nearly double-digit favorites on the point spread. The Dolphins won 43-17, with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns. On the other side, Jimmy Garoppolo returned from injury but was benched for C.J. Beathard after throwing 2 interceptions. Beathard didn’t do too great himself, but the game was well in the hands of Miami by that point.
In the Circa Survivor, 169 contestants had the 49ers, and those 169 contestants are no longer alive in the contest.
The Kansas City Chiefs, who played host to the Las Vegas Raiders, were selected by 46 teams in the Circa Survivor. That was the fifth most popular pick of the week. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs stumbled throughout the game and lost by a score of 40-32. Raiders QB Derek Carr went for 347 yards and 3 touchdowns passing, throwing a TD pass to Henry Ruggs, Nelson Agholor, and Darren Waller.
